Mulvaney: Guns Don't Kill People, Social Media Does

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney commented on social media's role in events like Saturday's mass shootings.

According to Business Insider, Mulvaney referenced the manifesto that the El Paso,Texas shooter seemingly posted online.

We've made them celebrities, we've allowed them to spew their hate without any restrictions whatsoever.

Mulvaney also took issue with Beto O'Rourke, who said President Trump uses rhetoric that stokes racism.

There's no benefit here to trying to make this a political issue. This is a social issue and we need to address it as that.
